The Magnum Opus of Tornado’s watchmaking legacy, the Tornado Limited Edition is a milestone build. The best of everything, curated and settled into a compact timepiece. It’s no trendsetter; because it wasn’t meant to be. It was created with no par, and now, we’ll explore why.
- Each watch is one of one
The case is shaped from NTPT carbon fibre: North Thin Ply Technology, or NTPT, is a Swiss development that uses ultra-thin pre-impregnated layers of fibre at precisely calculated orientations, resulting in a stiffer, lighter, and more durable form of carbon fibre. This process directly forms the organic pattern on the case. It is neither applied nor repeated; it is a natural result that also ensures each piece is unique. This is craftsmanship driven by material science.
- Enhanced visibility
Encased within double-sided synthetic sapphire crystal, the watch offers exceptional hardness, scratch resistance, and optical clarity. This crystal serves as a protective window, offering an unobstructed view into the intricate details of the mechanical movement and dial architecture.
- Mechanical Architecture 
The skeletonized dial is designed as a structural composition, carefully revealing the movement’s operation while maintaining balance and strength. Every opening and bridge is placed deliberately to allow the wearer to observe the interaction of components of the mechanical system in real time. The Tornado rotor is custom-designed, and transforms a functional element into a visual expression of balance and motion.
- The Design: Efficiency meets Sustainability
The strap is made of high-grade eco-friendly fluorine rubber, chosen through elaborate and flex and stress tests. Its lasting flexibility and durable physical characteristics, has proven it suitable for a variety of scenarios. The closure is a butterfly clasp made out of Titanium, further adding to the durable, lightweight design language.
That said, the straps are made using recycled fluoropolymers, following a clean production practice, ensuring minimal emissions and solvent-free processes. The tested durability, and in turn, longevity, translates to reduced replacements, and therefore, wastage. The material has also been tested to be hypoallergenic, and thus suited for all skin types.
- Limited Production
This is not mass-produced, nor built to order. Production is stringently limited to 100 units worldwide, and each piece individually numbered, as acknowledgment to the time, skill, and attention invested in its creation. A truly collectible masterpiece.
The Tornado Limited Edition is not an attempt for a new market. It is simply an intentional one-of-one milestone from Tornado; an innovation, a calculated experiment; a flex, if you will.
